Abstract

A la hora de la tarde y de los juegos is a nostalgic text. This article is based on this interpretation of the book as a product of nostalgia, but it highlights its critical dimension towards the representation of animals. The gap between the past and the present (what once was and has now been lost) becomes evident in the observations regarding animals and trees.
