Actitudes maternas y nivel socio económico: un estudio comparativo

Abstract

In the present study it has been analized the maternal attitudes in 200 mothers of different socio-economical level. Roth adapted Scale of Maternal Attitudes was used to mesure four attitudes;; acceptation, overprotection, overindulgence and rejection. The results show that there are significant differences between maternal attitudes of high socio-economical level mothers and those of a low socio-economical level. The former show more aceptation towards their children, while the la· tter tend to overprotection. It was also found, the socio-economical level, education, occupation, child birth order and number of children contribute importantly to explain maternal attitudes.
