Abstract

Molybdenum, produced in Peru as a byproduct of the copper mining industry, was discovered in the XVIIIth century. It is usually added to steel alloys, is amply used in different pigments and its presence in enzymes makes it a relevant element in life.

    Doctor en Ciencias Químicas por la Universidad del País Vasco. JSPS Fellow en el Tokyo Institute of Technology, Yokohama (Japón) en 1992. Actualmente es Catedrático de Química Inorgánica en la Facultad de Ciencia y Tecnología de la UPV/EHU. Su principal área de investigación es la Química de Polioxometalatos.
