Introduction to the Use of Philatelic for Teaching Chemistry

This article offers an introduction to the world of chemistrythrough its representation in postage stamps and other philatelicmaterials from many countries. Besides famous chemists orNobel prize winners in chemistry, there are stamps showingatoms, molecules, minerals, symbols and chemical formulas,the periodic table, laboratory equipment, and various aspectsof chemical industry. Such stamps can easily be used to portrayseveral themes for teaching chemistry at all levels, or can beused together with anecdotes or historical details, for example,to make technical presentations much more attractive
