Abstract

Description of the creation and evolution of the Instituto Riva-Agüero (IRA), one of the main academic units of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP). For 70 years, the IRA has trained professors and researchers in the humanities, based on seminars, research groups, conferences and publications. This brief review details its institutional and academic development, and highligths its contribution to the humanistic prestige of the PUCP.
