Abstract

The objective of this article is to analyze the background and foundations that support the exercise of the Peruvian maritime domain up to 200 miles. In doing so, the bases of the maritime sovereignty proclaimed by Peru will be examined and contrasted with the different international positions that have emerged on the subject. This will allow for the exposition of the concept of maritime jurisdiction defended by Peru.
