Evolución y Determinantes de la Pobreza Multidimensional en Junín, 2015-2019

Abstract

This article aims to know how multidimensional poverty has evolved in Junín, for period 2015-2019. In addition, this research pretends to estimate multidimensional poverty´s main determinants. By applying Alkire & Foster’s method, the results show that multidimensional poverty has decreased over the period. Also, most of household’s deprivations are hold in 2 dimensions: Health and Living Standard. Finally, the logit regression allows us to know that household head’s primary language reduces the probability of being multidimensional poor. On the other hand, household head’s employment status and its geographical area of residence are the ones which increase that probability.
