Abstract

The essay addresses the field of ecocriticism within literary studies and its relationship with literature and the environment. To do this, it analyzes some stories by Chilean writers Malú Furche and Vladimir Rivera Órdenes, from an ecocritical and dystopian perspective, using concepts raised by Félix Guattari, Edwin Camasca, Dipesh Chackrabarty and Francisco Martorell. It is proposed how the destruction of the environment entails the destruction of the social and psychological in societies, and generates an undesirable dystopian future.
