Article Submission Guidelines
- The academic articles presented exclusively to Pensamiento Constitucional must be original and unpublished, in Spanish. The article can only be submitted to another medium once the editorial procedure has been completed.
- Those who submit an article must sign an affidavit, in which they declare, among other issues, that they know and accept the editorial standards of Pensamiento Constitucional, especially its ethical and procedural standards.
- The author must include the following information:
- Title of the article, in Spanish and English.
- Full name.
- Institutional affiliation, including country, which will appear below the name.
- Curricular references (profession and academic degree).
- Email and ORCID code.
- The curricular reference, the email and the ORCID code will be placed in a footnote by means of an asterisk, next to the author's name.
- When comments on the origin of the text or acknowledgments are included, they will be placed in a note at the end of the article.
- Abstract of the article, in Spanish and English, ranging between 200 and 400 words.
- Between five to ten keywords, in Spanish and English.
- The content and length of the articles range from 7,000 to 20,000 words, without considering the title, abstract, keywords, and bibliographic references.
- It will be written in capital letters at the beginning of each sentence, in the proper names of people and institutions, historical dates, religious festivals, historical and geological periods, official documents and events, and in the positions when the proper name of the person occupying it is not specified. The positions of President of the Republic and Defender of the People, Prime Minister, will always be written with a capital letter. Words in capital letters must have an accent.
- The months and days of the week, the generic titles and positions, as well as the generic names of entities of any class and hierarchy will be written in lowercase. Formulas for treatment such as sir or doctor must be in lower case and not abbreviated. Likewise, the legal regulations with all their letters and followed by their corresponding number.
- Bibliographic citations of other authors, legal norms, resolutions, judgments and documents in general must be made in accordance with the APA Style (American Psychological Association) standards contained in the sixth edition of the APA Style Manual. Likewise, they must be prepared with strict respect for ethical standards.
- Bibliographic references will only be those that have been cited in the text, and will be ordered alphabetically. Web addresses will be included for references where possible, especially Digital Object Identifiers (DOI).
