Brechas de género en el poder político peruano durante el siglo XXI
Keywords:

This article analyzes the change rate of involvement and participation of females for political charges in Peru during the last 20 years. We identify that the appointment in Ministry charges for females is biased to social protection sectors or with lower budgets. Regarding democratically elected positions such as Congressperson, the female rate of participation in the congress candidates list has increased, and it has a direct relation with the rate of adult women that are part of the labor force, and with the rate of young women attending a technical or professional school. Respect to female involvement in Regional Governor charges, it is still very low.
