Abstract

The current situation has placed in debate if the Peruvian Economic Constitution enables the state intervention in the medicine market as a solution to the public problem of the increase of prices of pharmaceutical products in the context of the Covid. In this sense, the legislative initiatives that proposed various alternatives for solution are analyzed, among them, the regulation of medicine prices; however, it is concluded that institutional design factors limited the acceptance of such alternative.
