¿Es otra Cosmopolítica Posible?

    Ocupa la Cátedra de Investigación Canadiense Estudios Aborígenes en la Universidad Memorial de Terranova. Durante los últimos años ha estado abocado a la investigación de una problemática donde se intersectan por un lado la política y las cosmologias Indígenas y, por el otro, las extensión de presupuestos modernos acerca de lo que constituye el conocimiento, la justicia, el concepto de buena vida y el gobierno. Ha publicado Storytelling Globalization From the Chaco and Beyond  (Duke University Press), publicada en castellano por Universidad del Cauca bajo el titulo “Un relato de la globalización desde el chaco.”

Cosmopolitics possible? de Mario Blaser pone a disposición de nuestra comunidad académica no solo una discusión sobre un caso de conflicto entre instituciones estatales canadienses, prácticas científicas y pueblos indígenas, comparable con conflictos similares que ocurren en el contexto latinoamericano, sino también una buena introducción a conceptos relativamente recientes y relevantes para entender estos conflictos.
