    PhD from the Graduate Program in Music-School of Communication and Arts of the University of São Paulo (PPGMUS-ECA / USP). Master in Music from the Art Institute of the Universidade Estadual Paulista (IA-UNESP). He teaches guitar at the São Caetano do Sul Arts Foundation (FASC). His research focuses on an ethnomusicology of the guitar, both studying the so-called "Brazilian guitar" and also the identity processes of Afro-Peruvian music. His publications include Sugestões para um estudo etnomusicológico do violão: uma revisão teórica (2018) and El Pacífico negro y el negro del Pacífico: a counterpoint to Gilroyan theses on Peruvian black music (2017). Abstract


The book covers several current and controversial topics that music causes in our day-to-day life: the concept of music and its pretended universality, its relationship with identity - national and global - and the ways in which it operates, for better or worse, in a society mediated by information technologies.
