Género, turismo y exportación: ¿llamando a la plata en el Perú?

Resumen

El siguiente artículo es una descripción breve del caso de algunas mujeres de la región de Cusco, en Perú, involucradas en la producción o en la venta de objetos étnicos para el mercado turístico y para la exportación. El análisis muestra que, mientras que en su discurso sobre el turismo y el comercio los actores enfatizan la equivalencia y el intercambio cultural, en la práctica la participación en estos circuitos tiende a reforzar las desigualdades existentes, tanto económicas como políticas.
