Abstract

Digital transformation (DT) is a technological process that has impacted the structures and practices of organizations. Among these are the tourism organizations that, since the rise of the internet, have evolved their business model and their way of co-creating experiences with tourism consumers. The tourist environment increasingly integrates  technological innovations to generate new digital experiences, which demands specialized coordination between the capacities of the organizations and the interests of various groups in the tourist activity. The objective of this study is to deepen the DT of the tourism industry from a focus of the social construction of technology (SCOT) to channel a comprehensive vision of the process. For this, a systematic review of the literature was carried out, whose findings guided the construction of a model of DT in tourism with a SCOT approach (SCOT-TDTUR model).
