Beyond the doxographic presentation of the much studied passage "from Kant to Hegel", what the author discusses here is the process of thought that takes place in it. The connecting idea for the supposed overcoming of metaphysics becomes a process of the speculation itself in which the transparency of the critica! work of retlection in the Hegelian system also involves history.
