Open Access Policy

Areté publishes original and unpublished articles under the open access model. All the articles (beginning with the ones included in the first issue of the journal) are available for consultation, free of charge. The journal does not charge any fee for the submission or the processing of articles. 

Authors accept that PUCP publishes the journal Areté —of which it is the owner— where their “article” is included under the Creative Commons license Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). This license allows others to share, remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose (even commercially, given that the authorship of the original creation is acknowledged). 

Authors retain the copyright of their articles. 

If the author or the coauthors wish to republish the published article, they must pledge to indicate the original date of publication in Areté.
