Abstract

This review proposes a reading of Blanca Varela's poetics in counterpoint with the artistic exhibition based on her work, held in Arequipa between 2022 and 2023 and sponsored by the BBVA Foundation. It seeks to establish connections between Varela's poems and contemporary visual artistic work, and to specifically explain how his work is fundamental in the visual work of 18 Peruvian artists, who used his poetic work to carry out their personal artistic inquiries.
