    José Carlos Chihuán Trevejo (Lima, 1985) es artista visual, diseñador editorial, historietista, docente e investigador. Magíster en Artes, Letras y Civilización con especialización en investigación de Historietas por la Universidad de Poitiers y la Escuela Europea Superior de la Imagen (ÉESI) en Angulema, Francia (2022-2024, becado por la Embajada de Francia en Perú). Mención excelencia con la Investigación «Túpac Amaru y Che, la construcción de un mito revolucionario a partir de dos historietas políticas latinoamericanas». Licenciado en Arte y Diseño Gráfico por la PUCP (2012). Con estudios en ilustración, collage y pintura en la Escuela de Artes Visuales de Nueva York (SVA) y en la Liga de estudiantes de Arte de Nueva York, EE.UU. (2013), y de Gestión Cultural en el MALI (2019).

Abstract

This is a recounting and descriptive analysis of the last major retrospective exhibition about the world comic on the emblematic Parisian building. It is also an approach to the creative process of icons of the «ninth art», getting to know and recognizing original pages of emblematic authors that cover the last sixty years of comic production worldwide, both from the mainstream and alternative medium.
