Abstract

This article explains the state of the matter in relation to land use planning linked to the land management instrument called Ecological and Economic Zoning; the progress, challenges and their specific applications to date (2021), as well as their prospective in the framework of comprehensive and integrated development towards sustainability, as well as the essential role of governance, the relevant role played by the managers of the territory at the three levels of government, as well as the sectors of the executive power with competences in territorial ordering. The work of the Ministry of the Environment on the prioritization of roads under sustainable road infrastructure with an ecological transition approach is presented. It also addresses the importance of the use of information on ecosystem services in land management, and the urgent need for urban and rural zoning to incorporate articulated cultural, social, economic, and environmental approaches from their planning in the face of risk management. disasters and social vulnerability.
