About the Journal
Espacio y Desarrollo is a refereed scientific journal founded in 1989 and published annually. It belongs to the Academic Department of Humanities of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.
The Journal publishes scientific articles and book reviews in the areas of geography, both physical geography and human geography, covering topics such as territorial development, planning and land use planning; globalization and regional and local development; sustainability and environmental aspects, incorporating climate change, disaster risk and environmental issues with a territorial perspective; geographic technologies, such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and remote sensing. The Journal especially values those papers that address some of these issues from an interdisciplinary perspective.
Espacio y Desarrollo is a free publication that does not charge authors for publication rights and is financially supported by the Editorial Fund of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.
