The aim of the study was to evaluate the impact of ambivalent sexism on child-parent violence, considering family structure, adolescent sex and age as cofactors. A total of 1,115 Chilean adolescents participated, 52% were male and 48% female. The Child-Parent Violence Questionnaire and the Ambivalent Sexism Inventory were applied. The regression tree technique was used under the Chi-square (CHAID) metric. Child-parent violence is explained by adolescent age and hostile sexism for all types of aggression. Family structure explains psychological aggression towards both parents. Benevolent sexism and the adolescent's sex explain psychological aggression towards the mother and physical aggression towards both parents. It is suggested to go deeper into this profile of families.
