We appreciate your interest in publishing in our journal.

Kawsaypacha: Society and Environment invites submissions of manuscripts and proposals for thematic sections that present original research, theoretical reflections, and critical studies on environmental policy, territorial governance, sustainability, political ecology, local knowledge systems, and related topics.

Contributions should address these themes from Latin American and Global South perspectives or offer international reflections that contribute to a deeper understanding of the challenges and realities of these regions.

1. Manuscript Submission for Issue No. 19 - (January–June 2027)

Researchers* with an established academic and research trajectory in environmental studies are invited to submit manuscripts for consideration in the peer-review process for the first issue of 2027.

This call will remain open until August 30, 2026, or until forty (40) manuscripts have been received, whichever occurs first.

Only manuscripts that strictly comply with ALL Editorial Guidelines will be considered.

* In order to promote diversity in authorship, authors and co-authors must not have published in Revista Kawsaypacha: Sociedad y Medio Ambiente during the two years preceding this call for submissions.

2. Proposals for Dossiers or Thematic Sections (2027–2028)

Revista Kawsaypacha: Sociedad y Medio Ambiente invites researchers* with an established academic and research background in environmental studies to submit proposals for dossiers to be considered for publication in forthcoming issues of the journal.

Proponents are required to submit a Concept Note outlining a Dossier on a topic within the journal’s scope.

Proposals may be submitted by one or two researchers, preferably affiliated with different institutions, and should include at least four manuscripts ready to enter the peer-review process. Both the proposal and the manuscripts may be submitted in Spanish, English, or Portuguese.

Proposals should be addressed to the Journal’s Editorial Committee. They will be evaluated based on the relevance of the proposed theme, the quality and suitability of the manuscripts included, as well as the diversity of authors and institutional affiliations.

Proposals must be submitted by email to: publicaciones-inte@pucp.edu.pe for evaluation by the Editorial Committee.

Submission deadline: August 20, 2026.
