Resumo

Rustom Bharucha is a scholar of the world, and his way of studying it is through theater. He has conducted research on cultural performance through the categories of intercultural and intracultural (Bharucha, 1993, 2000), oral history, traditional representations and, more recently, on the phenomenon of terror in relation to performance (Bharucha, 2014). During the first two years of the pandemic, he produced a 9-chapter video conference titled Theatre and the Coronavirus on several aspects of the pandemic in relation to theater and performance practice. This video was produced by the International Research Center/Interweaving Performance Cultures, Berlin, Germany. More recently, he published a lengthy essay titled The Second Wave: Reflections on the Pandemic through Photography, Performance and Public Culture (2022).
