Convivencia Social y Motivaciones: Comprendiendo qué Atrae a Jóvenes Visitantes a los Parques Urbanos

Resumen

Los parques urbanos constituyen infraestructuras públicas vitales que sostienen la recreación, la socialización y el bienestar psicológico; sin embargo, su pertinencia para las generaciones más jóvenes en sociedades cada vez más digitalizadas permanece insuficientemente explorada. Este estudio aborda tal vacío examinando hasta qué punto los jóvenes visitantes se mantienen comprometidos en comportamientos sociales dentro de los parques. A partir de 97 entrevistas estructuradas realizadas en São Paulo, Salvador, Lima y Arequipa, se adopta un diseño cualitativo de orientación interpretativista. Los hallazgos revelan que la relajación, el contacto con la naturaleza y la interacción con pares son las motivaciones dominantes, mientras que la conectividad digital actúa simultáneamente como facilitadora y distracción. El estudio resalta a los parques urbanos como arenas socio-digitales híbridas y exhorta a los responsables de políticas públicas a diseñar espacios inclusivos, seguros y multifuncionales. .
