Self-Efficacy Scales: Systematic Literature Review

Since its definition by Bandura, self-efficacy has been an important topic of investigation for psychology and several other areas of knowledge. The major means of investigating this construct is through the use of scales that aim to measure self-efficacy. Therefore, the objective of the present study is to carry out a systematic review to identify which scales and what types of psychometric evidence are available regarding the measurement of self-efficacy. To assist in the review process, ASReview was used, which demonstrated potential in streamlining the process. Through a systematic review of international literature, it was possible to identify 63 relevant publications and analyze the self-efficacy scales used, as well as their validity evidence.
