Desafíos y restricciones de la gestión ambiental orientada a la salud pública en gobiernos locales

La gestión ambiental orientada a la salud pública en los gobiernos locales enfrenta desafíos críticos debido a limitaciones institucionales, financieras y técnicas, junto con una inadecuada gestión de residuos y un déficit en datos confiables para la toma de decisiones. Este estudio, mediante una revisión sistemática basada en el protocolo PRISMA, analiza 32 publicaciones científicas seleccionadas de bases de datos internacionales, como Scopus y Web of Science, con el objetivo de identificar restricciones y proponer estrategias innovadoras. Entre las problemáticas clave destacan la persistente contaminación ambiental, el crecimiento urbano descontrolado y la limitada participación ciudadana en iniciativas ambientales. A pesar de estos retos, emergen estrategias prometedoras como la adopción de tecnologías emergentes, enfoques de economía circular y metodologías basadas en datos para el monitoreo ambiental. Además, se subraya la importancia de la educación y participación comunitaria para potenciar políticas efectivas. Este análisis resalta la necesidad de un enfoque integral que fortalezca las capacidades locales y fomente la colaboración multisectorial para alcanzar un desarrollo sostenible y una mejora significativa en la calidad de vida.
