Abstract

This paper is about the social responsibility in the lawyers’ education. The author begins talking of the classic university paradigm, where one of the traditional activities of the university is the social projection, which is the contribution of the university to improve the society. On the same subject, having the business vision as a reference, he mentions that the university social responsibility has been adopted from a transversal approach by the university as a way to integrate it into society. From a personal experience, the author indicates us that the idea of development was present in the 60 decade. That idea caused radical ways of action, but, in turn, emerged groups focused on social assistance as a way to contribute to society. In this part, he points the governs and universities commitment to support this idea and promote it in the students. As a counterpart, the author refers that the university social responsibility paradigm implies the return to commitment and solidarity. It been emphasized that the university social responsibility values how the university organized itself in front tis students and external, in this way, the institutional living must not neglect. Likewise, from a university social responsibility view the teaching must be ready to give an inspiring teaching, as well as it had to insist on find new methods of it. Further on, he focuses in the PUCP Law School to refers the aim that it had in order to increase the investigators teachers; furthermore, he remarks that from a university social responsibility view it be preferred the projects where the student learns by doing. He gives us as an example the Law Social Projection course (known in Spanish as PROSODE), which is related with the continuous training where the student is in continuous learning. Finally, it is set that the law schools puts it side with the university social responsibility claims.
