Open access policy

Derecho PUCP publishes original and unpublished articles in the form of open access, provided for consulting free of charge from the first issue of the journal.

Derecho PUCP does not charge any commission rate for shipping or articles processing. Also, does not establish any embargo period of its content.

The authors that want to publish in Derecho PUCP should previously authorize, by means of a license for use, the edition, publication, reproduction, distribution, and public communication of its work, both in physical and digital support, to scientific, cultural, of transmission and non-profit use purposes. This assignment must be done in the format of the affidavit.

In this way, the authors keep the authorships and ensure the journal the right of being the first publication work, under the license Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0), which will enable third-party to use the published work whenever the authorship is mentioned, and to the first publication in this journal. The authors could implement other independant and additional contractual agreements for the distribution and no exclusive reproduction of the published version in the journal in other print or electronic media, provided it includes a clear and complete recognition of the work authorship and of its first publication, such as the licence stipulates it. For this reason, if the author authorizes a second publication or a translation, it must be consigned that it was published in Derecho PUCP previously, space where its academic quality was certified by means of the peer review process (double blind system). It is recommended that the author will transmit it to the journals if he decides to do that, but we suggest that second publications were not made considering that, being our electronic version in open access and given the journal diffusion policies, the coverage to the larger Hispano-American public is ensured.

The authors can file in the repository or instutional or personal website, the previous version to the peer review and to the already published, this last one under the format of the journal. The journal immediately after its publication, will send the articles digitally to the different data base and indexation systems for the release of its content, as well as to publish in all its social networks and should implement communication strategies necessary for its proper diffusion.
