Validação espanhola da triagem NODS em uma amostra representativa do Chile

Em uma amostra probabilística e representativa de Santiago, Chile, esta pesquisa visa validar a adaptação do National Opinion Research Center DSM-IV Screen for Gambling Problems (NODS) em espanhol e sua forma abreviada para o contexto chileno. 1032 indivíduos foram entrevistados em casa usando um questionário padronizado. Os resultados mostram alta confiabilidade para as versões de vida inteira e do último ano da triagem, com validade estrutural apoiada por análises fatoriais. O estudo encontrou que 2,4% da amostra foi classificada como jogadores patológicos ao longo da vida e 0,8% no último ano, consistente com os intervalos mais altos de estudos internacionais. As taxas de transtorno severo do jogo são mais altas no Chile em comparação com a Espanha. A validade concorrente sugere que a adaptação chilena extensa do NODS é confiável para avaliar problemas de jogo.
