Open access policies, copyright and use license
THĒMIS-Revista de Derecho is committed to promoting the diffusion of legal and jurisprudential knowledge in a wide, immediate and free manner, making available to the general public, researchers, legal professionals, students and other interested parties, the complete content of its publications.
THĒMIS-Revista de Derecho adheres to the principles and Open Access policies established in Budapest (2002) (BOAI 10), Berlin (2003) and Bethesda (2003); and considers that:
Open Access is fundamental to guarantee that legal knowledge, which is essential for exercise rights and the construction of a fairer society, is accessible to everyone without any economic restriction.
- Open Access encourages research and new knowledge production by enabling fast and free consultation of published publications.
- Open Access facilitates legal knowledge application in the resolution of social problems and contributes to making informed decisions.
- The Open Access publication is aligned with international scientific communicative standards and encourages the collaboration between investigators of different countries
THĒMIS Revista de Derecho will provide:
- Free access to all their content available online without any subscription or payment.
- Creative Commons CC By 4.0 licenses for articles that allow their reuse, distribution and modification, as long as the original source is cited.
- Digital preservation of all the contents to guarantee a long term conservation of all the articles.
- Visibility and dissemination by ensuring the indexing of their articles in international databases.
THĒMIS-Revista de Derecho, as part of their Open Access Policy, do not will charge any publication fee to the authors (APC).
- Adopting the Open Access Policy, THĒMIS-Revista de Derecho reaffirms their compromise with academic excellence and the diffusion of legal knowledge for the benefit of society.
