Digital preservation policies

The PUCP Journals Portal's database operates using Amazon Web Services (AWS). One of the features provided by this service is the automatic creation of backup copies of the data stored on other AWS servers located in different geographical regions. This functionality ensures the PUCP Library System's permanent availability of both the contents and updated real-time backup copies.

Additionally, the PUCP Journals Portal adheres to the recommendations proposed by the PKP Preservation Network to guarantee permanent availability and access to the contents. To this end, the LOCKSS module has been enabled to create a backup archive that will be utilized in case of any technical or administrative issues affecting the Portal.
