Focus and Scope

 

The Boletín de Arqueología PUCP accepts original and unpublished contributions on pre-Hispanic and historical archaeology of the Andean, Amazon, Central and South American areas. Authors can submit contributions on theoretical and methodological issues and materials analyses, ranging amongst other subjects from disciplines such as archaeology, ethnohistory, and biological anthropology, to linguistics, archaeometry, art history, geoarchaeology, heritage and related fields. Interdisciplinary contributions are particularly welcome.
The Boletín de Arqueología PUCP accepts contributions in Spanish. However, translations of articles previously published in English or any other language are not accepted.
The Boletín de Arqueología PUCP accepts research articles, review articles, case studies or reports, and critical book reviews.
The Boletín de Arqueología PUCP has a gender-equal, International Editorial Board.

Submissions

The call for contributions is always open. The Boletín de Arqueología PUCP receives individual manuscripts or as monographic and/or thematic issues coordinated by external guest editors. Both individual and thematic contributions will be vetted first by the Editorial Team, and then by blind peer reviewers. The review process of the manuscripts takes about eight weeks.

Periodicity  

The Boletín de Arqueología PUCP is published twice a year, in May and November.
