Abstract

People and things are entangled in heterogeneous blends that over time design a material world that is in constant need of maintenance and sustenance. The satisfaction of these needs entangles and entraps human beings, creating a material world that is dependent on a series of material practices that in turn generate more dependencies, as the threads that connect people and things become more varied and wide. This work proposes to explore the threads that connect people, things, buildings and spaces at Cerro de Oro, a pre-Hispanic settlement located in the lower Cañete valley, with the objective of exploring the threads that characterize its social and material world.
