The rise in the Early Formative Period (1800-1200 BC) of a complex system of archaeological sites in the Casma valley with monumental architecture of varying sizes and magnitudes, has brought about a growing interest in the social dynamics that enabled their construction and renewal, in terms of the early communities that were modifying their environment. This preliminary report of the ceramics recovered at Pampa de las Llamas-Moxeke in the 2022 season of the Proyecto de Investigación Arqueológica Pampa de las Llamas-Moxeke attempts to establish the forms and styles that were present at the site from the Formative Period to the Early Intermediate Period. The study of this ceramic sample allows their nature and function to be established, as well as the differences between the vessels used in various parts of the valley.Downloads
