Guidelines for Section Editors

The designated Editor (section or guest editor) will receive the article and after having read it will choose two Reviewers.

The manuscript must be sent anonymised to prevent the author or authors being identified (in order to do so the file must be downloaded and edited). It is at this part of the process that the review form must be enclosed.

Once the Reviewer has finished, the Section Editor will receive the review forms with comments regarding the manuscript’s publication. The Section Editor must review every recommendation, read the comments, and download the modified files, if any.

In order to finalise the review process, the Reviewers must be thanked; a message will be sent to the Reviewers thanking them for their participation stating their task is over.

The Section Editor will receive two forms (as there are two reviewers). It is suggested that he/she consolidates the annotations that must be submitted to the journal’s General Editor.

After reviewing the Reviewers’ recommendations, the Section Editor must make his own suggestion to the General Editor.

The Section Editor can choose one of the following options when making his recommendation; other options do however appear in the platform:

This is just a recommendation; the General Editor can accept it or modify it according to his/her judgement.
