María Eugenia Vaz Ferreira Archive: Philosophical Poetry and the Foundation of a Lineage

Abstract

The archive of the funding poet María Eugenia Vaz Ferreira (1875-1924) belongs to the Fundación Vaz Ferreira-Raimondi, which signed an agreement with the National Library of Uruguay to digitalize, transcribe and reserch the totality of its documentary inventary. This paper will present a summary of the research made on the documents grouped by unpublished manuscripts, on its majority until being published by the Library in its web (2018). The knowledge produced by this archive, moving from the private to the public, allows to face areas non studied of María Eugenia Vaz Ferreira and the feminine foundational literature in which is framed. Also redefine paths of study of the Southern Cone literary system of the first decades of the XX century.
