Founded in 1977, Lexis is one of the major journals on linguistics and literature published in Spanish America. The journal publishes original studies in the various fields of linguistics, literary theory and critique, Hispanic Studies and Amerindian studies.

 

The journal is published twice a year, in July and December. Guidelines for manuscript submission are included in the editorial standards section.

The journal is free and open access: it does not charge any fee to readers, nor to the researchers who submit their papers for review, nor to the authors who publish in it. Lexis is entirely funded by the Department of Humanities of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, which promotes the open and free dissemination of scientific knowledge.
