Entrepreneurial leadership and its relationship with innovation in manufacturing companies in the state of Aguascalientes

The main objective of this article was to determine the relationship between entrepreneurial leadership and innovation in manufacturing companies in the State of Aguascalientes, answering the research question ¿What is the relationship between entrepreneurial leadership and innovation in manufacturing companies in the State of Aguascalientes? Seeking to expand the existing knowledge of the field and to identify and describe the study variables and their dimensions in organizations, a descriptive, correlational and cross-sectional study was carried out; for the data correlation, a questionnaire with four blocks was used; the first includes general data from the respondent, the second data from the company, the third addresses the variable of entrepreneurial leadership with 26 items, and lastly, the innovation variable with 30 items, both variables with a 7-point Likert-type scale. The sample was made up of 16 companies from the State manufacturing industry. The results indicated that the most important dimensions of entrepreneurial leadership are creating an innovative environment, defining the main objectives, facing unexpected challenges, and building and leading the team; for innovation they were: product innovation and process innovation. Spearman’s Rho coefficient was used for the hypothesis test, the results obtained showed an existing relationship between the two study variables in companies in the manufacturing sector; therefore, it follows that entrepreneurial leadership is a positive trigger for innovation in organizations; These results can help companies to implement strategies that allow them to continue advancing towards competitiveness.
