Digital Preservation policies

The PUCP Journal Portal database uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) to operate. One of the features provided by this service is the automatic creation of backups of the data stored on other AWS servers located in different geographic regions. Thanks to this functionality, the PUCP Library System guarantees the permanent availability of both the content and the backup copies, which are updated in real time.

The PUCP Journal Portal also adheres to the recommendations proposed by the PKP Preservation Network, with the aim of ensuring the permanent availability and accessibility of content. For this reason, the LOCKSS module has been enabled, allowing for the creation of a backup archive to be used in the event of any technical or administrative issues affecting the Portal.
