The Journal of Psychology of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru was established in 1983 with the aim of fostering research and intellectual production among psychologists and scholars from related disciplines. For over 35 years, it has maintained an uninterrupted semiannual publication schedule, appearing in June and December. Moreover, each article has its separate DOI number. Furthermore, each article is assigned an independent DOI. The journal has evolved in alignment with global scientific trends and operates under a Creative Commons CC-BY license.

The Journal of Psychology aims to publish original articles concerning psychology based on empirical, theoretical, and/or applied research. The journal also prioritizes empirical research and meta-analysis studies. Other types of manuscripts—such as systematic reviews, bibliometric analyses, or theoretical essays—may be accepted on an exceptional basis, subject to approval by the Editorial Committee in accordance with the journal’s publication interests and priority thematic areas.

The Journal of Psychology is aimed at an international audience and provides insight into psychological processes, taking into account the multiplicity of variables associated with multicultural contexts and ethnolinguistic diversity. The journal publishes the title, abstract, and keywords in the following three languages: Spanish, English, and Portuguese. It also accepts full-text submissions in any of these languages.

The views expressed in the articles published in The Journal of Psychology are solely those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the Editorial Committee. Therefore, no responsibility is assumed for any injury or damage to persons or property resulting from accidents or negligence, or from the use of methods, materials, and interpretations described in this publication.
